Indian astrophysicist Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar contributed to the various parts of physics but he is most famous for his study of the star development. The maximum mass of a stable white dwarf star is named after him – The Chandrasekhar limit. Heavier stars become black holes. Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar's uncle was another famous physicist, C. V. Raman.
