Peng Shuai is a Chinese professional female tennis player. She reached a career-high ranking of world No. 1 in doubles by the Women's Tennis Association on 17 February 2014, making her the first Chinese tennis player to reach world No. 1. She won a gold medal at the 2010 Asian Games, defeating Akgul Amanmuradova in the final. At the 2013 Wimbledon Championships, Peng won her first ladies' doubles championship with Hsieh Su-wei of Taiwan and again won at the 2014 French Open with Hsieh.
