Tendai ‘Beast' Mtawarira is a Zimbabwean-born South African rugby union player for the South Africa national team and the Sharks in Super Rugby and in the Currie Cup. Mtawarira, a prop, carries the nickname of "The Beast". Mtawarira was selected as part of the South African National Rugby Union team and made his debut playing against Wales in a test match on 14 June 2008. The following week, on 21 June 2008, Mtawarira scored a try against Italy as well as winning the 'Man of the Match' award. He is the most capped prop in South African history.
