The Krebs Cycle
German-born British physician and biochemist Hans Adolf Krebs discovered a chemical merry-go-round inside a cell called Citric acid cycle or often Krebs cycle in his honor. Living organisms use the Krebs cycle to burn carbon atoms and generate molecule called NADH. This molecule is later used to make ATP – universal energetic currency of the cell.
