Indigenous Womens - Violence against native women is at epidemic levels.

The Native Women's Association of Canada (NWAC), or Association des Femmes Autochtones au Canada (AFAC) in French, is one of Canada's National Aboriginal Organizations, and represents Aboriginal women, particularly First Nations and Métis. Inuit women are primarily represented by the separate organization, Pauktuutit. Contrary to the organizations Pauktuutit and Women of the Métis Nation, NWAC has enjoyed more representation in meetings of Canadian leaders, as they are generally viewed as the national voice for the representaton of Aboriginal women in Canada.
