New Horizons Flyover of Pluto

Atlas-V rocket gave the probe a record speed of 16.26 kilometres per second. The speed was later increased by gravity assist of Jupiter. Primary mission of the probe was to perform a flyby study of the Pluto system. New Horizons is the fifth artificial object to achieve the escape velocity that will allow her to leave the Solar System.
