Solid Air (Really)

He successfully produced solid air at the meeting of the Royal Institution using a device which is now called the Dewar or simply vacuum flask. It was one glass vessel inside another, the double walls separated by a thin vacuum layer. This kept the liquids cold for longer periods of time. Vacuum flasks are used domestically to keep beverages hot or cold.
