German rigid airship Graf Zeppelin docked in Friedrichshafen, after a 9,926 km flight from Lakehurst. New Jersey. The flight took seventy one hours. It was the longest recorded airship flight for 29 years, until it was surpassed by the American airship Snowbird in 1957. Graf Zeppelin was captained by Hugo Eckener during its record flight.
