Jet Engine, How it works ?

German physicist Hans von Ohain was born. He was one of the two inventors of the jet engine. The other one was British engineer Frank Whittle. Both men worked simultaneously but independently of each other. Ohain's jet engine was the first to fly a practical jet aircraft. It powered the famous Heinkel 178.
