12/02/1873 Mr. Bones is born

American palaeontologist Barnum Brown, commonly referred to as Mr. Bones, is known because of his discovery of first specimen of Tyrannosaurus rex. He unearthed it during an expedition to Hell Creek Formation of Southeastern Montana in 1902. T. rex became one of the best-known dinosaurs and has been featured in all types of media.
