Max Planck Quantum Theory

Planck suggested that electromagnetic radiation could be emitted only in small chunks, called energy quanta. This suggestion caused a revolution in physics and gave birth to a quantum theory which describes the world of atoms and subatomic particles. Planck also discovered the third law of thermodynamics.
