Astronauts from the Space Shuttle Endeavour conducted a spacewalk to catch the Intelsat VI satellite which had failed to leave low earth orbit two years earlier. It was the first three-person extra-vehicular activity in history. The mission was also Endeavor’s first flight and the first shuttle mission to feature four spacewalks.
