Konrad Zuse: The Invention of the Computer
Who Invented the Computer?
Konrad Zuse's computing machine Z3
He constructed the world's first programmable computer. It was called the Z3. It was Turing-complete, which means that it could be used to simulate any Turing machine (an abstract concept of a computer, which manipulates symbols on a tape according to a table of rules). Konrad Zuse also created his own programming language, in which he wrote a chess playing program.
