Lessons from the Human Genome Project

The announcement was made at the White House by U. S. president Bill Clinton, representatives of the Human Genome Project (HGP) and the private company Celera Genomics. The draft contained some gaps and errors but represented about 95% of all genes. More complete version was published in 2003. Finishing work continued for more than a decade.
