RAM Explained - Random Access Memory

In 1944-51 Forrester supervised the building of the Whirlwind computer at the MIT, for which he invented the random-access magnetic core memory, the RAM. Similar devices are employed in most modern computers today. Forrester also studied the application of computers to management problems, developing methods for computer simulation.
