The Worst Accident in Motorsports History (1955 Le Mans Disaster)
The 22ème Grand Prix d’Endurance les 24 Heures du Mans 1954 was a race for Sports Cars, and took place on 12 and 13 June 1954, at the Circuit de la Sarthe, Le Mans, France. It was also the fourth race of the 1954 World Sportscar Championship. The race was won by José Froilán González and Maurice Trintignant driving a Ferrari 375 Plus.
