The Čengić family was an Ottoman Bosnian family that produced several notable lords in the Bosnia Eyalet of the Ottoman Empire. They were of Turkic origin, according to V. Ćorović hailing from Anatolia, their ancestor being İsfendiyar Bey. Folk tradition holds them as descendants of either the Sijerčić from Zagora or Ljubović beys of Nevesinje. Their name is derived from çengiz (Genghis).
