Collective responsibility refers to responsibilities of organizations, groups and societies. By which individuals who are part of such collectives to be responsible for other people's actions and occurrences by tolerating, ignoring, or harboring them, without actively engaging. For Arendt it varies from collective guilt as guilt is a personal and self indulgent emotion. Instead it is a call to action to take responsibility for the actions a government takes out in your name as a citizen.
