The 25th Academy Awards ceremony was the first to be broadcast on television. Also, it's the first ceremony held in Hollywood and NYC simultaneously. NYC's ceremony was held in the International Theatre. The Greatest Show on Earth won the Academy Award for Best Picture. The Bad and the Beautiful received the most awards that year, winning five out of six nominations.
