Manchester arena bombing

A shrapnel-laden homemade bomb was detonated as people were leaving Manchester Arena following a concert by the American singer Ariana Grande. Twenty-three people were killed, including the attacker, and over 800 were injured including psychological damage.


The 18th UEFA Champions League Final

The match was won by Internazionale, who beat Bayern Munich 2–0 to complete the Treble, a feat never before achieved by any team from either Italy or Germany. The refereeing team came from England and was led by Howard Webb. It was the first Champions League final to be played on a Saturday, rather than the traditional Wednesday.

Video game Pac-Man is released

Pac-Man is an arcade game developed first released in Japan and it was created by Japanese video game designer Toru Iwatani. Immensely popular from its original release to the present day. Pac-Man is considered one of the classics of the medium, and an icon of 1980s popular culture.
