Saina Nehwal

Saina Nehwal is an Indian professional badminton singles player. A former world no. 1, she has won over 23 international titles, which include ten Superseries titles. Although she reached the world's 2nd in the 2009, it was only in 2015 that she was able to attain the world no. 1 ranking, thereby becoming the only female player from India and overall the second Indian player – after Prakash Padukone – to achieve this feat. She has represented India three times in the Olympics, winning a bronze medal in her second appearance.

P. V. Sindhu

Pusarla Venkata Sindhu is an Indian professional badminton player. She became the first Indian woman to win an Olympic silver medal, and one of the two Indian badminton players to ever win an Olympic medal – other being Saina Nehwal. Sindhu won silver in Women's singles at Commonwealth Games 2018. She was also a silver medalist at the 2017 BWF World Championships and 2018 BWF World Championships consecutively.

Sudheer Babu is an Indian film actor and former professional Badminton player. He primarily works in the Telugu film industry. Sudheer made his debut as a hero in the Telugu film industry with the film Shiva Manasulo Shruti. He is well known for his roles in Prema Katha Chitram and in Baaghi, where he played the antagonist in the latter. He launched his new home banner "Sudheer Babu Productions" recently.

Liliyana Natsir

Liliyana Natsir is an Indonesian badminton player who specializes in doubles. With one gold and silver from the Olympic Games, and four gold medals at the BWF World Championships, she is regarded as one of the greatest mixed doubles players of all-time. She gained huge success by partnering with two different players. Her current partner is Tontowi Ahmad since 2010, after being separated from her previous partner, Nova Widianto. She also won three titles in a row from 2012–2014 at All England Badminton Championships, one of the most prestigious and oldest tournament in the sport. Been entering the top level since 18 years old, her tactical awareness, game vision, and dominance at the front court are considered as one of the best in the tour. In 2016, she and Tontowi Ahmad became the first Indonesian mixed doubles pair to win gold medal at the Olympic Games by beating Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying of Malaysia.

Carolina Marín

Carolina María Marín Martín is a Spanish professional badminton player. She is the reigning Olympic Champion, three-time World Champion, four-time European Champion and the former World’s No. 1 in BWF rankings for the women's singles. She has become the World Champion in women's singles three times, winning in 2014, 2015 and 2018. She won her first Olympics gold medal in women's singles at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Lee Chong Wei

Datuk Lee Chong Wei is a Malaysian professional badminton player. As a singles player, Lee was ranked first worldwide for 199 consecutive weeks from 21 August 2008 to 14 June 2012. He is the fourth Malaysian player after Rashid Sidek, Roslin Hashim and Wong Choong Hann to achieve such a ranking, and is the only Malaysian shuttler to hold the number one ranking for more than a year.

BWF World Ranking

The BWF World Ranking is the official ranking of the Badminton World Federation for badminton players who participate in tournaments sanctioned by Badminton World Federation. It is used to determine the qualification for the World Championships and Summer Olympic Games, as well as BWF World Tour tournaments. Seeding of the draw at all BWF sanctioned tournaments is done using BWF World Ranking. Players under 19 years of age are eligible to rank in the BWF World Junior Ranking, which were introduced in January 2011.The list followed are the rankings.

Prakash Padukone

Prakash Padukone is a former Indian badminton player. He was ranked World No. 1 in 1980, the same year he became the first Indian to win the All England Open Badminton Championships. He was awarded the Arjuna award in 1972 and the Padma Shri in 1982 by the Government of India. He is one of the co-founders of Olympic Gold Quest, a foundation dedicated to the promotion of Olympic sports in India.

Parupalli Kashyap is a badminton player from India. He trains at Gopichand Badminton Academy and is supported by Olympic Gold Quest, a not-for-profit foundation supporting Indian athletes. He was awarded the Arjuna Award by Government of India in 2012.

Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo

Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo is an Indonesian badminton player. He is a doubles specialist from PB Djarum, a badminton club in Kudus, Central Java and has joined the club since 2007. He won the 2017 All England Open Superseries Premier with his current partner, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon. He and Gideon were awarded the 2017 BWF Best Male Players of the Year award after collecting seven Superseries titles in a year.

Jwala Gutta

Jwala Gutta is a left-handed Indian badminton player. Born in Wardha to an Indian father and a Chinese mother, she began playing badminton at a young age. She is most successful doubles specialist from India, and has represented the country at the international circuit since the late 1990s till 2017. A fourteen-time National Champion, Gutta played with Shruti Kurien earlier in her career, but found greater international success with Ashwini Ponnappa. The pair consistently figured among the top-twenty in the BWF World Ranking reaching as high as no. 10 in 2015. Gutta is the first badminton player of Indian to qualify for two events in the Olympics–women's doubles with Ponnappa and mixed doubles with V. Diju at London. Gutta is known for her skilled left-handed stroke-play and is one of the very few doubles players to use a forehand service.

Srikanth Kidambi is an Indian badminton player. He trains at the Gopichand Badminton Academy, Hyderabad and is supported by the GoSports Foundation. In April 2018, he became the highest ranked men's badminton player in the world. He is also sponsored by Yonex. In 2018, he was awarded with the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award.

Pullela Gopichand

Pullela Gopichand is a former Indian badminton player. Presently, he is the Chief National Coach for the Indian Badminton team. He won the All England Open Badminton Championships in 2001 becoming the second Indian to achieve this feat after Prakash Padukone. He runs the Gopichand Badminton Academy. He received the Arjuna Award in 1999, the Dronacharya Award in 2009 and the Padma Bhushan – India's third highest civilian award – in 2014.
