NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament

The NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament, also known and branded as NCAA March Madness, is a single-elimination tournament played each spring in the United States, currently featuring 68 college basketball teams from the Division I level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), to determine the national championship. The tournament was created in 1939 by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, and was the idea of Ohio State coach Harold Olsen. Played mostly during March, it has become one of the most famous annual sporting events in the United States.

2019 NBA Finals

The 2019 NBA Finals was the championship series of the National Basketball Association (NBA)'s 2018–19 season and conclusion of the season's playoffs. In the best-of-seven playoff held from May 30 through June 13, 2019, the Eastern Conference champion Toronto Raptors defeated the Western Conference champion Golden State Warriors, four games to two, earning the franchise its first NBA championship as well as the first won by a non-American team. Acquired via a trade during the off-season, first-year Raptors' player Kawhi Leonard was named the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the second time in his career.

McDonald's All-American Game

The McDonald's All-American Game refers to each of the all-star basketball games played each year for American and Canadian boys' and girls' high-school basketball graduates. Consisting of the top players, each team plays a single exhibition game after the conclusion of the high-school basketball season, in an East vs. West format. As part of the annual event, boys and girls compete in a slam dunk contest, a three-point shooting competition, and an overall timed skills competition. It is rare for girls to compete in the slam dunk contest. However, in 2004 Candace Parker won that very contest. The boys' game has been contested annually since 1978, and the girls game has been played each year since it was added in 2002.

The ACC men's basketball tournament is the conference championship tournament in men's basketball for the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). It has been held every year since the ACC's first basketball season concluded in 1954. The ACC tournament is a single-elimination tournament and seeding is based on regular season records. The winner, declared conference champion, receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA men's tournament.

Big Ten Conference Men's Basketball Tournament

The Big Ten men's basketball tournament is held annually at the end of the men's college basketball regular season. The tournament has been played each year since 1998. The winner of the tournament is designated the Big Ten Tournament Champion, and receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The Big Ten was one of the last NCAA Division I college basketball conferences to start a tournament.

2007 NBA Playoffs

The 2007 NBA playoffs was the postseason tournament of the National Basketball Association's 2006–07 season. The tournament concluded with the Western Conference champion San Antonio Spurs defeating the Eastern Conference champion Cleveland Cavaliers 4 games to 0 in the NBA Finals. Tony Parker was named NBA Finals MVP, making him the first Spur other than Tim Duncan and the first European-born player to receive the award.

The Basketball Champions League (BCL) is an annual professional basketball club competition organised by FIBA for eligible European basketball clubs. Clubs mainly qualify for the competition based on their performance in their national leagues and cup competitions, but this is not the only deciding factor, as sometimes clubs which did not finish in the highest place qualify.
