Stardew Valley is an indie farming simulation role-playing video game developed by Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone and published by Chucklefish. The game was released for Microsoft Windows in February 2016, with ports for OS X, Linux, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One released later that year. A Nintendo Switch port was released in October 2017, with a PlayStation Vita port in May 2018.

Terraria

Terraria is a 2D action-adventure sandbox video game developed by Re-Logic. The game was initially released for Microsoft Windows in May 2011, and has since been released for various other platforms and devices. Gameplay of Terraria features exploration, crafting, building, and combat with a variety of creatures in a procedurally generated 2D world. Terraria received generally positive critical reception upon release, with direct comparisons to Minecraft and praise given to its sandbox elements. By February 2017, the game had sold over 20 million copies across all platforms.

Papers, Please is a puzzle video game created by indie game developer Lucas Pope, developed and published through his company, 3909. The game was released on August 8, 2013, for Microsoft Windows and OS X, for Linux on February 12, 2014, and for iOS on December 12, 2014. A port for the PlayStation Vita was announced in August 2014, and released on December 12, 2017.

Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy

Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy is a platformer video game developed by Bennett Foddy. The game was released as part of the October 2017 Humble Monthly, on October 6, 2017 where it went on to be played by over 2.7 million players. A Steam version of the game was later released by Foddy on December 6, 2017. The game was also released on iOS that same day. The Android version was released on April 25, 2018.

Geometry Dash

Geometry Dash is a series of five video games developed by Sweden-based developer Robert Topala, and published by his company, RobTop Games. The principal game, Geometry Dash, it is a rhythm-based platforming game which currently has 21 official levels and has more than 40 million online levels made by players. Each level features unique background music. Other features include a level editor, map packs, user-created levels, secret coins, and a variety of icons and game modes, as well as user coins, three shops and three secret vaults in the latest versions.

Slay the Spire is a roguelike video game developed by American studio MegaCrit and published by Humble Bundle. The game was first released in early access for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Linux in late 2017, with an official release in January 2019. It was released for PlayStation 4 in May 2019, and for Nintendo Switch later in June 2019.

Brawlhalla is a free-to-play fighting game developed and published by Blue Mammoth Games for Microsoft Windows, macOS, and PlayStation 4. The game was first shown at PAX East in April 2014, and went into alpha later that month. An open beta was released in November 2015, the game was released in October 2017.

Katawa Shoujo

Katawa Shoujo is a bishōjo-style visual novel by Four Leaf Studios that tells the story of a young man and five young women living with varying disabilities. The game uses a traditional text and sprite-based visual novel model with an ADV-style text box running on the Ren'Py visual novel engine. The game is licensed under the Creative Commons CC-BY-NC-ND.

Phoenix Point

Phoenix Point is an upcoming strategy video game with turn-based tactical combat that is being developed by Snapshot Games for release in June 2019. Snapshot Games's founder and lead designer, Julian Gollop, created the X-COM franchise, a series of games that focus on a player-controlled organization fighting to save Earth from invasions of extraterrestrial aliens. Phoenix Point is intended to be a spiritual successor to X-COM. The game is the second project of Snapshot Games following their release in 2015 of Chaos Reborn.

Into the Breach is a turn-based strategy video game developed and published by Subset Games, consisting of Justin Ma and Matthew Davis. It is the studio's second game, following FTL: Faster Than Light. It features writing by Chris Avellone and music composed by Ben Prunty. It was released for Microsoft Windows in February 2018 and for macOS and Nintendo Switch in August 2018.
