Sydney McLaughlin

Sydney McLaughlin is an American hurdler and sprinter who competes for the University of Kentucky. McLaughlin holds a number of age group world bests and won the Gatorade National Girls Athlete of the Year trophy for both 2015–16 and 2016-17. She placed third in the 400-meter hurdles at the 2016 United States Olympic Trials, qualifying for the 2016 Summer Olympics. McLaughlin has a personal best of 50.07 in the 400m. She has run numerous times in different relays, sometimes running under 50 seconds.

Michelle Jenneke

Michelle "Shelly" Jenneke is an Australian hurdler and model, who won a silver medal for the 100 m hurdles at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. She won the 100 m hurdles at the 2016 Australian Athletics Championships to qualify for the Rio Olympic Games. In 2012, she received worldwide media attention after her pre-race warm-up dance went viral on the internet.


Queen Harrison

Queen Quedith Harrison is an American hurdler and sprinter who competed in the 400 metres hurdles at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Queen is a meet director for Virginia's Best Track and Field Classic - a 2017 version VHSL meet hosted in Richmond, Virginia started in 2017.


Katerina Dalaka

Katerina Dalaka is a Greek hurdler. With origins from Katerini, currently representing GS Neapoli Chalkidas, Dalaka has won gold medals at the Panhellenic Games and the Balkan Games in 400 m hurdles as well as in 100 m, 200 m, the 100 m relay and the 400 m relay.


Omar McLeod

Omar McLeod is a Jamaican hurdler. He is the current 110m hurdle Olympic and World champion. He was NCAA indoor champion in the 60 metres hurdles in 2014 and 2015 and outdoor champion in the 110 metres hurdles in 2015; he turned professional after the 2015 collegiate season, forgoing his two remaining years of collegiate eligibility. His personal best in the 110 metres hurdles ranks him 5th on the world all-time list.


Sharika Nelvis

Sharika Renea Nelvis is an American hurdler. In 2014, she was NCAA indoor and outdoor sprint hurdles champion. After graduating from Arkansas State University that summer, Nelvis turned professional and topped the indoor world list in 2015. Nelvis represented the United States at the 2015 World Championships in Athletics in 100 m hurdles and the 2018 IAAF World Indoor Championships in 60 m hurdles. Nelvis set the NACAC & American record in the women's 60 metres hurdles with a time of 7.70 at 2018 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Ayako Kimura is a Japanese hurdler. She competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the 100 meter hurdles.


Lashinda Demus

Lashinda Demus is an American hurdler who specializes in the 400 meter hurdles, an event in which she was the 2011 world champion and 2012 Olympic silver medalist.


Angela Whyte

Angela Whyte is a Canadian hurdler in track and field athletic competition. She is a three-time Olympian in the 100m hurdles Summer Olympics). She has won multiple medals at both the Pan American Games and the Commonwealth Games in the 100 metres hurdles. She was a four-time All-American and a five-time Big West Conference champion in two years of competition at the University of Idaho and holds school records in the sprints, hurdles, jumps, multi-events and relays at both Idaho and the University of New Mexico. She also holds two Big West records in the 100m hurdles. She is currently an assistant track and field coach at Washington State University.


Christina Vukicevic

Ljubica Christina Vukicevic Demidov is a Norwegian former hurdler. She represented Ski IL, and was coached by her father Petar Vukićević, who participated for Yugoslavia in the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. Her brother, Vladimir Vukicevic, is also a hurdler.


David Payne (hurdler)

David Thorn Payne is an American hurdler. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and his family moved to the suburb of Wyoming. Payne competed in the 110 and 400 meter hurdles while attending the University of Cincinnati. While at UC, Payne won multiple individual titles in Conference USA and was named Conference USA Outdoor Athlete of the Year while guiding the Bearcats to the C-USA 2004 outdoor title. He set school records for both distances and was a two time NCAA All-American in the 110m hurdles. Payne now resides in Northern Kentucky and trains in Cincinnati, Ohio.


Jung Hye-lim

Jung Hye-lim is a South Korean hurdler. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed in the Women's 100 metres hurdles. In her home country, she was nicknamed "the eoljjang hurdler" for her pretty appearance.


Ron Whitney

Ronald Howard "Ron" Whitney is a retired American hurdler and sprinter. Known for his fast finish, he was sixth in the 400 m hurdles at the 1968 Summer Olympics. He had entered the race as one of the favorites, having been ranked #1 in the world in 1967 and winning the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the event for the second time earlier that year. At the Olympics, his first heat victory established a new Olympic record, only to be surpassed by David Hemery two days later.


Sayaka Aoki (athlete)

Sayaka Aoki is a Japanese track and field sprinter and hurdler, who specializes in the 400 metres sprint and 400 metres hurdles. She competed for her country as part of the Japanese women's 4 × 400 metres relay team at the Summer Olympics in 2008 and the World Championships in Athletics three times. She has been a four-time medallist in the relay at the Asian Athletics Championships, including a gold medal in 2011. She won her first major international medal in the hurdles – a bronze – at the 2017 Asian Athletics Championships.
