It was formed in 1987 as a result of a merger between Dorel Co. Ltd., founded in 1962 by Leo Schwartz and Ridgewood Industries, founded in 1969. Dorel employs approximately 10,000 people and its products are sold in over 100 countries.

Bianchi (company)

F.I.V. Edoardo Bianchi S.p.A, commonly known as Bianchi is the world's oldest bicycle manufacturing company still in existence, having pioneered the use of equal-sized wheels with pneumatic rubber tires. The company was founded in Italy in 1885 and in addition to bicycles it produced motorcycles from 1897 to 1967 motor Cars from 1899 by 1901 Bianchi were manufacturing 1000 unit per year. After the second World War and the destruction of the bianchi Motor works including the truck factories they had to rebuild, however in 1955 a joint-venture Autobianchi was created together with Fiat and Pirelli for the manufacturing of cars – Autobianchi was subsequently sold to Fiat.

Dainese

Dainese is an Italian manufacturer of protective gear and clothing for sports, including motorcycling, mountain biking, winter sports and horseriding. The company was founded in 1972 by Lino Dainese, now a minority stakeholder in the company. Since 2007 Dainese has owned AGV (2007). Investcorp acquired a majority shareholding in the Dainese Group in 2014.

Orbea

Orbea is a bicycle manufacturer in Mallabia, Spain. It began in 1840 as a rifle and gun producer and began making bicycles in the 1930s. It is part of the Mondragón Cooperative Corporation and Spain's largest bicycle manufacturer. Orbea designs and builds bicycles, with some of the higher-cost bikes being made in Portugal but all the others made at the Orbea factory in Mallabia; the steel-framed bikes are made of Columbus tubing.
