thyssenkrupp AG is a German multinational conglomerate with focus on industrial engineering and steel production. The company is based in Duisburg and Essen and divided into 670 subsidiaries worldwide. It is one of the world's largest steel producers; it was ranked tenth-largest worldwide by revenue in 2015. The company is the result of the 1999 merger of Thyssen AG and Krupp, and now has its operational headquarters in Essen. The largest shareholders are Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation and Cevian Capital.

It was formed in 2006 from the takeover and merger of Arcelor by Indian owned Mittal Steel. ArcelorMittal is the world's largest steel producer, with an annual crude steel production of 98.1 million tons as of 2014. It is ranked 123 in the 2017 Fortune Global 500 ranking of the world's biggest corporations.

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) is an Indian state-owned steel making company based in New Delhi, India. It is a public sector undertaking, owned and operated by the Government of India with an annual turnover of INR 44,452 Crore for fiscal year 2016-17. Incorporated on 24 January 1973, SAIL has 75,489 employees. With an annual production of 14.38 million metric tons, SAIL is the largest steel producer in India and one of the largest steel producers in the world. The Hot Metal production capacity of the Company will further increase and is expected to reach a level of 50 million tonnes per annum by 2025. Sri Saraswati Prasad is the current Chairman of SAIL.

Sandvik

Sandvik AB is a Swedish company founded in 1862 by Göran Fredrik Göransson. Sandvik is a high-technology engineering group in tools and tooling systems for metal cutting, equipment, tools and services for the mining and construction industries, products in advanced stainless steel and special alloys as well as products for industrial heating. Sandvik has about 43,000 employees and sales in more than 150 countries. Invoiced sales is approximately SEK 91 billion (2017). Sandvik was the first company to commercially exploit the Bessemer Steel process. The first blast furnace was installed by an English engineer and is now on display in a park in Sandviken, Sweden.
