Buyan-class corvette

The Buyan-class corvette was designed by Zelenodolsk Design and designated Project 21630 by the Russian Government. This is one of the newest corvettes of the Russian Navy. The first ship of her class, Astrakhan, was commissioned in September 2006, and assigned to the Caspian Flotilla.

Visby-class corvette

The Visby class is the latest class of corvette to be adopted by the Swedish Navy after the Göteborg and Stockholm-class corvettes. The ship's design heavily emphasizes low visibility, radar cross-section and infrared signature. The first ship in the class is named after Visby, the main city on the island of Gotland. The class has received widespread international attention because of its capabilities as a stealth ship.

Steregushchiy-class corvette

The Steregushchiy class is the newest class of corvette in the Russian Navy. It was designed by the Almaz Central Marine Design bureau. The first ship was designated Project 2038.0 by the Russian Government; subsequent vessels were built to an improved design, Project 20381. At 2,200 tons it is large for a corvette and is designated as a frigate by NATO. Project 20382 "Tigr" is an export variant that has been ordered by Algeria. The Steregushchiy class has been further developed into the Project 20385 Gremyashchiy-class corvette and Project 20386 Derzky-class corvette.

The Flower-class corvette was a British class of 267 corvettes used during World War II, specifically with the Allied navies as anti-submarine convoy escorts during the Battle of the Atlantic. Royal Navy ships of this class were named after flowers, hence the name of the class.

The Gowind design is a family of steel monohull corvettes developed since 2006 by Naval Group, formerly known as DCNS, to conduct missions in littoral zone such as anti-submarine warfare (ASW). The Gowind family includes vessels with lengths from 85 m to 102 m and displacement from 1,000 t to 2,500 t.

MILGEM project

The Ada class, is a Turkish national warship program, the purpose of which was to build a modern littoral combat ship with indigenous anti-submarine warfare and high-seas patrol capabilities, extensively using the principles of stealth technology in its design. Three Ada-class corvettes have already been commissioned by the Turkish Navy and more are scheduled to enter into service in due course.

Kamorta-class corvette

The Kamorta-class corvettes or Project 28 are a class of anti-submarine warfare corvettes currently in service with the Indian Navy. Built at Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE), Kolkata, they are the first anti-submarine warfare stealth corvettes to be built in India. Project 28 was approved in 2003, with construction of the lead ship, INS Kamorta commencing on 12 August 2005. Three of the four corvettes, INS Kamorta, INS Kadmatt and INS Kiltan were commissioned in 2014, 2016 and 2017 respectively. INS Kavaratti is under construction and slated to be completed by end of 2017.

Pauk-class corvette

The Pauk class is the NATO reporting name for a class of small patrol corvettes built for the Soviet Navy and export customers between 1977 and 1989. The Russian designation is Project 1241.2 Molniya-2. These ships are designed for coastal patrol and inshore anti-submarine warfare. The design is the patrol version of the Tarantul class which is designated Project 1241.1 by the Russians, but is slightly longer and has diesel engines. The ships are fitted with a dipping sonar which is also used in Soviet helicopters.

Gremyashchiy-class corvette

The Gremyashchiy class or Project 20385 is an advanced development of the Steregushchiy-class corvette of the Russian Navy. This follow-on project was designed by the Almaz Central Marine Design bureau in Saint Petersburg. The first ship was laid down on 26 March 2011 and the official ceremony took place on 2 February 2012.
