Charité

The Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin is Europe's largest University clinic, affiliated with both Humboldt University and Freie Universität Berlin. With numerous Collaborative Research Centers (CRC) of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, including three Nobel Prize Laureates working as research fellows in the Einstein Foundation, Charité is one of Germany's most research-intensive medical institutions. For the past five years, Charité has been ranked by Focus as the best of over 1000 hospitals in Germany. More than half of all German Nobel Prize winners in Physiology or Medicine, including Emil von Behring, Robert Koch, and Paul Ehrlich came from the Charité. Its medical school is one of the most prestigious and competitive in Germany with admission rates lower than 5%.

St Mary's Hospital, London

St Mary's Hospital is an NHS hospital in Paddington, in the City of Westminster, London, founded in 1845. Since the UK's first academic health science centre was created in 2008, it has been operated by Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, which also operates Charing Cross Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital, and Western Eye Hospital.

There are 675 beds, 110 wards and 26 operating theatres at the Royal London Hospital. The new building opened in February 2012.

King's College Hospital

King's College Hospital is an acute care facility in Denmark Hill, Camberwell in the London Borough of Lambeth, referred to locally and by staff simply as "King's" or abbreviated internally to "KCH". It is managed by King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. It serves an inner city population of 700,000 in the London boroughs of Southwark and Lambeth, but also serves as a tertiary referral centre in certain specialties to millions of people in southern England. It is a large teaching hospital and is, with Guy's Hospital and St. Thomas' Hospital, the location of King's College London School of Medicine and one of the institutions that comprise the King's Health Partners, an academic health science centre. The interim chief executive is Peter Herring.

The Royal Free Hospital is a major teaching hospital in Hampstead, London. The hospital is part of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, which also runs services at Barnet General Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital and a number of other sites. The trust is a founder member of the UCL Partners academic health science centre.

Erasmus MC

John Radcliffe Hospital

The John Radcliffe Hospital is a large tertiary teaching hospital in Oxford, England and a leading centre for medical research. It is the main teaching hospital for Oxford University and Oxford Brookes University, and incorporates the Oxford University Medical School. It forms part of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and is named after John Radcliffe, an 18th-century physician and Oxford University graduate, who endowed the Radcliffe Infirmary, the main hospital for Oxford from 1770 until 1979.

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is one of the national capital area's oldest academic teaching hospitals. It is a not-for-profit, acute care teaching and research facility located in the Georgetown neighborhood of the Northwest Quadrant of Washington, D.C. MedStar Georgetown is co-located with the Georgetown University Medical Center and is affiliated with the Georgetown University School of Medicine. MedStar Georgetown is home to the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, as well as centers of excellence in the neurology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, gastroenterology, transplant and vascular surgery. Originally named Georgetown University Hospital, it became part of the MedStar Health network in 2000.
