Papua New Guinea eartquake

The earthquake in Papua New Guinea had a moment magnitude of 7.9. Three people were killed during the quake and one was injured. It also caused damage to the Arawa area and parts of central Bougainville, while a power outage occurred in Buka.

Donetsk trolley-bus explosion

Several shells exploded in Donetsk at 42 Kuprina Street, a highly populated place during peak hours, immediately killing 7 people on a trolleybus and in a car nearby. Members of the OSCE SMM mission observed craters suggesting "a mortar or an artillery piece" being fired from a "north-western direction". By late evening, the death toll reached 15, with 20 injured.

Mendiola massacre

The Mendiola massacre was an incident that took place in Mendiola Street, San Miguel, Manila, Philippines, in which state security forces violently dispersed a farmers' march to MalacaƱang Palace in protest of the lack of government action on land reform. According to reports, antiriot personnel guised as civilians opened fire on unarmed protesters killing at least 12 and injuring 51 protesters.
