Fleming Drive riot

Hundreds of drunk St. Patrick's Day revelers started rioting and began setting cars on fire. They attacked the police and the members of the fire department after their arrival on the scene. Over 50 officers in full riot gear ended up being surrounded by a mob, holding them up for about 5 hours. Damages were approximated at $100,000.

Mass religious murders and suicides in Uganda

In early 2000, followers of religious “Movement for the Restoration of the Ten Commandments of God” perished in a fire and a series of poisonings and killings. It was initially considered a mass suicide. In truth, it was a mass murder orchestrated by leaders of the movement after their predictions of the apocalypse failed.
