'Beauty and the Beast' is released in the US

Beauty and the Beast is musical romantic fantasy film co-produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Mandeville Films. It starred Emma Watson and Dan Stevens in the main roles. The movie received positive reviews and was praised for its faithfulness to the original animated film as well as the elements from the Broadway musical.

'iZombie' first airs on The CW

"Chandelier" is a song by Australian singer Sia from her sixth studio album, 1000 Forms of Fear. Written by Sia and Jesse Shatkin and produced by Shatkin and Greg Kurstin, the song was released in March 2014 as the lead single from the album. It's an electropop song, featuring electronica, R&B and reggae influences.

Actress Helen Hayes dies at 92

Helen Hayes MacArthur was an American actress whose career spanned almost 80 years. She died on St. Patrick's Day, 1993, from congestive heart failure in Nyack, New York. Lillian Gish, the "First Lady of American Cinema", was a great friend of Hayes, and had designated her as beneficiary of her estate, but Hayes survived her by less than a month.

The first St Patrick's Day parade in NYC

The New York parade not only has become the largest Saint Patrick's Day parade in the world but is also one of the oldest civilian parades in the world. In a typical year, 150,000 marchers participate in it, including bands, firefighters, military and police groups, county associations, emigrant societies and social and cultural clubs.
