Aegean Sea earthquake

The 2017 Aegean Sea earthquake was a magnitude 6.6 earthquake which struck about 10 km south southeast of Bodrum, Turkey, at depth of 7.0 km. Two people were killed and more than 120 others were injured on the Greek island of Kos, while at least 360 injuries were reported in Turkey.

London bombings

In 2005, four attempted bomb attacks disrupted part of London's public transport system two weeks after the 7 July 2005 London bombings. The explosions occurred around midday at Shepherd's Bush, Warren Street and Oval stations on the London Underground, and on London Buses route 26 in Bethnal Green on Hackney Road.

Assassination of Christopher Ewart-Biggs

Christopher Thomas Ewart Ewart-Biggs was the British Ambassador to the Republic of Ireland, an author and senior Foreign Office liaison officer with MI6. He was killed in 1976 by the Provisional Irish Republican Army in Sandyford, Dublin.
