95 people are killed and 500 injured by earthquakes in China

A series of earthquakes occurred in Dingxi, Gansu. The earthquakes were also felt in the nearby cities of Tianshui and Lanzhou in Gansu and caused at least 95 deaths, and more than 2,300 people had been injured. Communication was cut off to 13 townships in Zhang County and many villages in Meichuan, Min County.

Anders Behring Breivik kills 77 people

The 2011 Norway attacks were two sequential lone wolf terrorist attacks by Anders Behring Breivik against the government, the civilian population, and a Workers' Youth League-run summer camp. The attacks claimed a total of 77 lives. Breivik was convicted as charged and sentenced to 21 years of preventive detention in prison.
