UPS Airlines Flight 6 crashes

UPS Airlines Flight 6 was a cargo flight operated by UPS Airlines. In 2010, the Boeing 747-400F flying the route between Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Cologne, Germany, developed an in-flight fire which caused the aircraft to crash, killing both crew members, the only people on board.

Russian school siege ends in violence

The Beslan school siege lasted three days, involved the illegal imprisonment of over 1,100 people as hostages, and ended with the deaths of at least 334 people. The crisis began when a group of armed Islamic militants, mostly Ingush and Chechen, occupied School Number One in the town of Beslan, North Ossetia.

Vietnam Airlines Flight 815 crashes

Vietnam Airlines Flight 815 was a scheduled Vietnam Airlines flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh's Pochentong Airport. The Tupolev Tu-134B-3 aircraft crashed on final approach approximately 800 meters short of the runway, killing 65 of the 66 persons on board. The aircraft was completely destroyed.
