Jodie Whittaker debuts as the first female 'Doctor Who'

The series introduces Jodie Whittaker as the Thirteenth Doctor, the most recent incarnation of the Doctor, an alien Time Lord who travels through time and space in her TARDIS, which appears to be a British police box on the outside. The series also introduces Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole, and Mandip Gill as the Doctor's newest companions.

Rapper Nelly is arrested

Nelly was arrested in Auburn, Washington, outside Seattle, on suspicion of second-degree rape after a woman alleged that he invited her onto his tour bus earlier that morning and raped her. Nelly was booked into a Des Moines, Washington jail, and released from custody without charge. It was later revealed Nelly would not be charged in the case.

'The Flash' first airs on CW

The Flash is an American superhero television series developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Geoff Johns, airing on The CW. It is based on the DC Comics character Barry Allen / Flash, a costumed superhero crime-fighter with the power to move at superhuman speeds. It is a spin-off from Arrow, existing in the same fictional universe.

Streisand tops the Billboard Hot 200 for the ninth time

Love Is the Answer received critical acclaim and became Streisand's record-breaking ninth #1 album on the Billboard 200. This resulted in making Streisand the only artist to have a number one album in America in five different decades. The album was certified Gold on November 13, by the RIAA, giving Streisand her 51st Gold record in the US.

'Charmed' first airs on The WB

Charmed is an American fantasy drama TV series created by Constance M. Burge and produced by Aaron Spelling and his production company Spelling Television, with Brad Kern serving as showrunner. The series was originally broadcast by The WB for 8 seasons from October 1998, until May 2006.

'Grease' OST starts a 13 week run at #1 on the UK chart

Grease: The Original Soundtrack from the Motion Picture is the original soundtrack for the 1978 film Grease. It was originally released by RSO Records and subsequently re-issued by Polydor Records in 1984 and 1991. The song "You're the One That I Want" was a US and UK No. It sold 28 million copies worldwide. Making it one of the best selling albums of all time, also ranking amongst the biggest selling soundtrack albums of all time.

John Lennon is awarded his 'Green Card'

Following the impact of "Give Peace a Chance" and "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)", both of which songs were strongly associated with the anti-Vietnam War movement Lennon was ordered to leave the US in March 1973. Nixon's successor, Gerald Ford, showed little interest in continuing the battle against Lennon, and the deportation order was overturned in 1975. The following year, Lennon received his "green card" certifying his permanent residency.

The Rolling Stones record Lennon and McCartney penned song

"I Wanna Be Your Man" is a Lennon–McCartney-penned song recorded and released as a single by the Rolling Stones, and then recorded by the Beatles. The song was primarily written by Paul McCartney, and finished by Lennon and McCartney in the corner of a room while Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were talking.
