'Salvator Mundi' is sold for $450.3 million at a Christie's

Salvator Mundi is a painting of Christ as Salvator Mundi by Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci, dated to c. 1500. It was sold at auction by Christie's in New York to Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Farhan on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture & Tourism for $450.3 million, setting a new record for the most expensive painting ever sold.

Xbox is introduced

Intel releases the world's first commercial single-chip

The Intel 4004 was the first commercially available microprocessor by Intel. The design of the chip was led by Federico Faggin. The great integration of the monolithic CPU into one small chip was possible thanks to then-new silicon gate technology for integrated circuits.
