Anastasia Soare is an American billionaire businesswoman, and the CEO and founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills, known as the "Eyebrow Queen". Soare was born in Constanţa, Romania. She is the only child of Dumitru Balamaci and Victoria Babu, who owned a tailoring shop. She studied art history and architecture in Romania.

28th President of the United States Woodrow Wilson is born

Woodrow Wilson was the 1st Southerner elected as President since Zachary Taylor in 1848. During the WWI, he established a foreign policy known as Wilsonianism and was a proposer of League of Nations. For his peace-making efforts, he was awarded the Nobel Prize.

Iowa is admitted as the 29th U.S. state

In 1833, the 1st American settlers officially moved to Iowa. 5 years later, the U.S. Congress established the Territory of Iowa and after 8 more years, President James K. Polk signed Iowa's admission bill into law. The capital of Iowa is Des Moines.

Construction of Yonge Street, the longest street in the world

Yonge Street is a route connecting the shores of Lake Ontario in Toronto to Lake Simcoe. The street is 86 km long. It was named by Ontario's first colonial administrator, John Graves Simcoe, for his friend Sir George Yonge, an expert on ancient Roman roads.
